In last nights debate, its pretty obvious that its Gingrich is the one who is looking to pick up Ron Paul supporters, if he doesn’t end up winning the nomination. If you think about all those characters on stage, then you see the typecasts, pretty clearly:
- Rev. Fundamentalist
- Prof. Big Ideas
- Mr. Manager
- Dr. Freedom
Dr Freedom is of course my best choice, but if the choice comes down to Prof Big Ideas and Mr Manager, the problem with the Prof is that having big ideas are great, but sometimes big ideas lead to big government in order to implement those big ideas. At least Mr Manager, even though he may not have big ideas, knows how to cut and trim things. When it comes to downsizing government, Dr Freedom has the biggest plan, but between Mr Manager and Prof Big Ideas, its probably more likely that Mr Manager will actually cut government down, even a little.
